Obituary from the Decatur Republican:
"Mrs Christiana Housman, 77 years old died in the family home, 1114 North Monroe street yesterday morning at 8:35 o'clock. Death was caused by uremia poison accompanied by infirmities incident to old age. She had been ill for more than 9 months...She resided in Macon county more than 50 years....She lived in Illinois all of her life and spent most of the time in Macon county in the vicinity of North Fork township. She resided in Decatur for the last five years...She leaves six children. One is William Chance of this city....She was a member of North Fork church for more than 20 years....funeral services will be held in the family home Sunday afternoon at 1:30...Services will be held in the North Fork church at 2:30 conducted by Rev. J.W.McDonald of this city. The burial will be in the North Fork Cemetery." in 1911.
