This site is a work in process and currently is targeted to the descendants of Richard Hawton-Hill of Holsworthy, Devon, plus related families. Richard is the illegitimate son of Mary Hill and (possibly) Samuel Hawton--this is yet to be confirmed.
Richard had two currently known sons:
Samuel who came to the US during the first decade of the 20th century. Most of his descendants currently reside in the Midwest (KS, OK, TX) and in CA. Samuel dropped the "Hill" part of the surname during his teen years.
Richard who died in 1894 in London. At this time we do not know of any descendants from this brother, other than an eldest son also named Richard. Richard maintained the "Hill" part of the surname.
